What are the chances of i-45 south clearing?
What are the chances of I-45 South will be ok to drive in?
I need to get from spring tx, to katy... (i-45 south to 610 west then south, exit 1-10) do you think it will be safe to drive there by tomorrow morning (9/14/08) ? Are there any alternate routes?
A-Best: You can take 45S to the beltway 8 then head west to 1-10 and it's a stright shot that way. or you can just go down 1960 past 290 until you come to 1-10 then turn right on 10 and your not far from the area. 1960 does have a lot of lights though and not sure how clear the road is, but I sure they have cleared it out. I think the tollroads are still free at this time due to the storm.
Stay safe and if you see water on the road, be smart and don't drive thourgh it if you can't see the lines on the road. Don't need reports of ppl losing their lives for driving through high water.
A: Its clear, only exits and many low spots still under water. You will probably be better off waiting until Monday or Tuesday.
