Question:

Is £45 a reasonable price to have someone connect your computer to the internet?
I tried and tried myself but for some reason it won't accept the modem driver. It is compatible with the new pc, and I signed in as the administrator. Anyway the only option I have now is for someone to come and do it. Quoted me £45 I explained the problem to him and he said he can't understand why that's happening and he should be able to connect it. I hope so if it costs me, and only hope it aint going to cost more if I have to have a new modem.

A-Best: $75 does not sound out of line for an on-site visit, at least in my area of the US. I guess you could shop around, but if the guy has a good reputation, and says he can do it........ Good Luck
